    ...the right way!
    Corporate Advocacy Program
Blockbuster refuses to honor Rewards Program benefits for Blue Ray DVD rentals.

Blockbuster Rewards Program $9.95/year provides 1 Free Non-New Release rental coupon per month and Mon - Wed, rent 1 New Release and get 1 Non-New Release free.

Nothing on the coupon states it does not apply to Blue Ray DVD Rentals. When I renewed my Rewards Program a few months ago, I was not told that it would not apply to Blue Ray DVD rentals.

Since I upgraded to HD and a Blue Ray DVD player, I only rent Blue Ray DVD's which Blockbuster charges more to rent.

Blocbuster "Rewards" me by ripping off my Rewards Program and refusing to apply its benefits to the only DVD's I rent.

Blockbuster penalizes Rewards Program members for paying more to rent Blue Ray DVD's.

Well then

AUTHOR: Nuggets - Stroudsburg (U.S.A.)

This actually may just be you huffing on about something you had to pay for...and in reality, it's probably quite simple to solve.

When movies are moved to the middle of the store, they have to be manually transferred and some may get lost in the shuffle. At that point, you have to remind the person helping you that you got it from the middle. Then, they should look at the date in the computer or on the dvd to see if it's a year or older and know that they have to fix the problem and/or credit you for that rental.

I also believe you were leaving something out of this whole instance. And I'm quite tempted to call your store and find out what happened. Perhaps you were being rude to the employees or just don't understand what's going on. In the end, do yourself a favor and double check the release date of that bluray movie and make sure you DO get your free rental. I don't think the employees would refuse you and I think this report is poppycok.

Two more things. Rewards is now 19.95 and it's BLU-RAY.

#2 Consumer Suggestion

Blu-Ray Discs are not DVDs

AUTHOR: J G Shrugged - Austin (U.S.A.)

Did the program state just rentals or did it use the term DVD in it?

Because Blu-Ray discs are not DVDs. While they are the same size as a DVD, they aren't DVDs. It's like calling a DVD a CD - same size, different product.
