I was searching the web to try and find out how much my timeshare was worth. I submitted my information expecting a figure but was surprised by a phone call a few moments later. A man named Quincy Browne contacted me telling me all about the high demand for my timeshare and how it will be sold quickly through their company and how I could get a refund if I sold my timeshare on my own. Everything sounded in order so when they said they needed my credit card info to start the listing, I gave him the info.
The following day, another timeshare company contacted me and wanted me to list with them. They went on and on about BUYATIMESHARE.COM and how they have numerous complaints against them and are NOT members of the Better Business Bureau because of it. So, I did a little research and found what the lady said was true. I called Quincy back and requested a refund. He said I could not receive a refund and also that the ad had received numerous hits already. Since I wasn't able to get a refund, I decided to just keep it listed anyway.
I got the contract in the mail a little after that and found out that you CAN get a refund if you cancel within 72 hours of posting the advertisement but it must be done in writing. I was very upset because if Quincy had disclosed this information before when I called to cancel, I would have faxed something over.
They are suppose to refund your fee, which I paid $734, if I sell the timeshare on my own: as long as it's within 15% of the original asking price. Well, I did just that and now they still wont give me a refund.
To make a long story short......do not listen to the sales pitch. Do some research BEFORE you give your credit card information out!
*** I filed a dispute w/ my credit card company. I never signed their stupid contract! ***

I received a phone call from Quincy today. He told me that he felt very hurt by the report I made against him and his company. He felt that I was not being truthful and was misleading others that might read my report. So, I did want to correct a statement that I made because I may not have been clear before.
BUYATIMESHARE.COM are NOT members of the Better Business Bureau not because of the complaints they have received but because they opted out. I will not go into a long story here, but for the most part, the BBB gives better ratings based on the amount of money you give and they did not want to be a part of that anymore.
That aside, I still feel as though I had a very unpleasant experience and I would not recommend this company.
One positive thing....Quincy was very nice and professional when dealing with problems. He did seem to have a good sense of customer service.
On that same note, I thought it was unprofessional to bring up my report and say I was wrong. All of my statements are true and they are my true experiences and feelings.
