Hello, yes. Well no, the correct number is, yes someone else could have used my information, then a laugh! this was about the first call from this supposed company

A frantic call to my bank. I found there was no record of a deposit ever being made to my account. Then another call:

They had my social security number this time so now they are coming at me with even more personal information than before, again with threats of the police picking me up and having a court date

Another frantic call to my second bank after this company had charged my account my first account and ran it into the negative, the answer is no we have no record of any deposits from this company or any other into your account

So after me calling back the first number was restricted and left a voicemail with a "last chance" call back number, then calling back the second time to a number that could not recieve calls, to some one saying they are an officer, or from a law firm

These people represent why I have heard about internet scamming, now it is happening to me. I may have applied but have as yet to even recieve a loan from this company of actors.

So now I wonder, because they report to the credit buereau, and can get me fired from my current job, from what the first representative told me, how can I protect myself and I have asked them not to call me

They continue to call, threaten, hang up on me, and tell me not to call them

Can anyone help me with this cashnetusa fiasco I am encountering?

Some ideas

AUTHOR: Tim - Grand Haven (U.S.A.)

You're in a tough spot, assuming of course that you actually never took out a loan from these people. If you have, you're going to have to pay up.

There is the possibility of identity theft (someone else may have used your personal info to get a loan). There is also the possiblity that they are making an error on their end, or that they're just outright defrauding you.

At any rate, I think your first step should be to contact the police. If they've taken money from your bank account without any kind of authorization to do so, then a crime has been committed by somebody.

Your ultimate reourse would be to seek an injunction against them. In such an action, you would ask a court to order them to cease any further communications with you, to cease making any statements to third parties about you, to remove any blights from your credit reports, to return any funds that they have taken from you, and to pay any punitive damages as may be allowed under the law.

Again, you're in a very difficult spot. They aren't a collection agency so a cease and desist letter won't be sufficient. The BEST advice I can give you is to hire an attorney, but I understand this may be something you can't afford.

And maybe someone else will have some other ideas for you. Best of luck!
