This sounds like a complete scam but how could you believe Comedy Central, a major network with a huge talent pool, would ever be scouting at a random open mic? Regardless, it's a sad day when there are people like this Crazee Cindy who scam people's dreams. It just goes to show that desperate people do desperate things. I am sure karma will come back to her and you will be successful anyway.

First off I agree about the manner in which the room is operated, but there is no way in heck you brought 25 people and did not get stage time.  I have no problem with your making legitimate negative reports about the show or the way things are handled, but I've been to that show way to many times and I know how it works.  If you had 25 people you'd have gone up within the first 5 people.  Hands-down there would be no competition and you would be among the so-called headliners in the performance line-up. 

Also, there is no way in heck you did not get paid, unless you didn't talk to the cashier.  I've seen her hunt people down to pay them...so you're clearly fabricating your side of the story to feel good about yourself.  NOT cool.  I feel bad that you had a negative experience; I have too, but I will not allow you to slam someone unfairly.  

Cindy is off, but she is NOT malicious.  She's actually really fair, or as fair as she can be given the limitations the club operators put on her.  She has to put up so many regulars to keep her room.  Do you really think someone wants to operate a bringer room.  NO!!!  That's the hand she was dealt and under the circumstances she's doing a great job.

Also worth noting.  I've been at the show, as I said earlier, and I've seen Comedy Central at least 4 times and famous comedian Sarah Silverman performed there.  She's just 1 of the famous faces I've personally seen there.  If the media wasn't there the night you performed, than pick another night.  Cindy has someone in the house nearly every week.  ABC was there 4 weeks ago. 

Please don't use public forums to make unabashed and nearly-false statements about people.  You probably wouldn't like it if it were done to you.  But specifically, put down a name or contact the offending party and see if there is a solution.  You did none of that.  You did what was extra easy, hide behind the safety of your computer and made ANONYMOUS complaints.  Don't you think there are enough cowards in the world?

The girl who runs this room is out of control!!!!  First off it's all about her!!!  But worse is the way she treats the very foundation of her room...the bringers.  She nags and threatens bringer-comics to fill up her room, so she can hog the stage and do her VERY unfunny, racist material.  That would acceptable, but not only will you have to listen to her material - which is horrific - but you'll also have to sit there while she parades through a bunch of her friends and Comedy Store comics, before you'll ever get to see the comic you paid to see.  If you're the unfortunate comic who books time in this space, be prepared for a VERY long wait.  Crazee is only interested in $$$$$$.  Once she bullies bringers into filling the seats, she ignores them and refuses to talk to anyone who objects to the bullying.  Cindy is noted for letting bringers fill her room and then making the bringers sit around until after 9:30pm (sometimes later) before they get stage time.  Her show drags on for hours, not because there are comics to be seen, but because she won't shut the hell up!!  I have done a LOT of comedy and I've NEVER seen a more disorganized and thoughtless show host.  She's rude, greedy, selfish, not particularly attractive and ABSOULTELY not funny.  If you can't bring people to her room, she starts yelling and makes you leave.  She always says the Comedy Store won't let her put anyone on stage that didn't bring someone.  The Comedy Store does not care.  The Store has even posted warning signs telling folks that her show is unprofessional and they are not responsible for the shows content.  The Comedy Store is so unproud of Crazee Cindy, they only give her week day shows.  Be warned...this show is to be skipped.  The sooner the Comedy Store fires her the better.  Also worth noting.  EVERY week Crazee says the show will start at 8.  Crazee NEVER starts the show at 8.  She will only start the show when she has an audience to watch her perform.  This is an EGO driven show, and the bringers are Crazee's dart board.  VERY, VERY, VERY unfunny.  Save your money for the "Trippin' On Tuesday" show or for nights that Big Mike is there. And if you're a bringer, please note this: If you bring a lot of people, Crazee will put you up last!!!  She'll hold you till last because she doesn't want the crowd to leave.  Do NOT waste your time.  Crazee only exists because bringers are willing to keep bringing in seat-fillers.  If you're a good bringer there are other shows that'll pay you to perform and you'll be treated fairly.
