ECost Fraudulant advertising of "Platinum Premium Membership" Internet

The "Platinum Premium Membership" is a complete scam. On the website, it is presented as a way to buy at a deep discount items offered for sale: "Exclusive Member access to limited inventoried products. Bargain Countdown Platinum products are only available for purchase by Platinum Premium Members, not available on our public site!! Savings up to 50% off regular site prices."
As it turns out, only 1 or 2 items of a particular product are offered for sale at the "reduced price", even though the site shows plenty of inventory. I found this out by calling eCost to complain and ask for my $39.95 back after not being able to order the product I was interested in - actually not just one product, but three different products. "
I was given a complete run around, and told that the club membership is non-refundable.
I will of course take this up with the Consumer Affairs department of the New York State Attorney General's Office, but be warned nodt to fall for this bogus "discount" - it is not realistically available. "Limited inventoried products" means just that - not much inventory. There is plenty of inventory, just 1 or to items available at the "discount" price. This on an internet site with thousands of hits an hour.
STAY AWAY FROM THIS SITE!
