We ordered flowers from FTD's 800 number to be sent to a relatives funeral. When we arrived in Illinois the flowers never arrived at the funeral home. Our cousin told us that the FTD franchise in Illinois had a tendency to not deliver the flowers for funerals when the orders were called in from out of state because most often the people who purchased them would not be in attendance and never realize the flowers they ordered were never delivered. I did some checking and this seems to be a method of operation across the FTD company. The company was recently acquired by United Online in Woodland Hills CA which appears to be a very sleazy operation as well. The bottom line is if you need flowers, order from somebody else like 1 800 Flowers or Teleflora.

The bottom line is if you need flowers, order from somebody else like 1 800 Flowers or Teleflora.
Are you kidding!!!!!?????? they are all the same...what about the local florists that work like dogs filling all their orders at a 30% loss???
all those online services do nothing more than take your money, charge you a service fee, take 30% of the order then "wire out" the order to a local florist in the area of the recipient. Florists are so tired of ftd, tele, 800 flowers and the like because they have ruined the flower business. consumers dont know any better and contribute to the downfall of the flower industry. I guess they just like over spending on everything.
Here's a little bit of info..........ftd, teleflora, 800 flowers, pro flowers.......are NOT florists! they dont make the flowers, they dont know the types of flowers....so why do so many people continue to order from them? I for one think it's just laziness and ignorance.
