NOW TO THE ORIGINAL REPORT THAT WAS FILED =====================
National Association Of Professional Women DO NOT succumb to their hard sale tactics Garden City New York
They mail you something that says you are entitled to a FREE membership. Then they have some woman call to interview you to make sure you qualify for a membership because they "don't just let everyone in"
Of course you qualify and that is where the hard sell comes in. You can choose between the 889 a year membership or the 689 a year membership. when you balk at that she offers you the 489 membership. When you say no to that it becomes 289 and then 89.
I told her I wanted the free membership and she said you can only have your name in their database for free. When I told her that I would think about it she said its TODAY only and you get no other chance. I said fine....then its a no and I take offense at getting a solicitation for a free membership and then being told it costs money. That is when she got nasty
She said she took offense to someone signing up for something and then not going on the website to see that it's not free. I had to laugh. I told her the conversation was over.
I hope you all do the same. It's nothing but a scam.
