It was very hard to read your very poorly written report. If this is the way you filed a report with your insurance company and/or the police, I can clearly see WHY you are in the shape in which you now find yourself. AND - you apparently have NO CLUE as to what a "bait and switch" is. It involves retail stores, not insurance companies. The only advice I can give is for you to return to school and learn the things you should have learned the 1st time you were there.

State Farm IS entitled to do some investigative work before paying out a claim. That's just part of the process to prevent fraud. They're not obligated to take take your word for it just because a police report was taken.
That said, State Farm does have a miserable reputation and I personally have had ridiculous dealings with them, which I eventually got what I was entitled to by fighting them, which they count on 99 plus percent of victims not to do. So by all means, do not let them off the hook, but DO cooperate with whatever investigative process they deem necessary, unless you either are told they cannot require these steps of you from your state's agency overseeing insurance companies, or feel it's worth your while to hire a lawyer to deal with them and protect your interests. How much you lost will obviously determine if that's warranted.
Your first call should be to that agency to see what State Farm is entitled to request of you.

Charles, I do declare, you could actually be on the same side of most posters on this string, if you just weren't so (how can I put this) you.
State Farm are a bunch of pricks and they can be beat. Our state insurance agency did help us in one claim against SF. One phone call was all I needed to get their frigging adjuster to knuckle under. In another case against them, the court sided with us. Even their own lawyer took our side. That's how disreputable they are. If you got no help from your state's agency, maybe it's because you rubbed them the wrong way. Go back to them hat in hand, maybe you'll get somewhere.
It's the way you come off, man, that just does something to everyone here. You truly have a unique talent if you can antagonize anyone here to the point where they would defend State Farm over you.
That's like being the team that will eventually lose to the Colts.
Don't be that team, Chaz. Rise above it.
Let's at least raise one glass together to the cheer, "Beat State Farm!"

You opened up a policy with State Farm recently and then your house got broken into soon after? Sure, that's a little suspect but it happens. No big deal.
All the stuff you put in your policy to be covered was stolen? Really? Okay, that's a big coincidence but I suppose it could happen...
You say the police lied in their police report? WHAT? Hold the phone... Either there was forced entry and it's in the police report or there wasn't so it's not. The cops don't care about your insurance coverage and you're not the victim of some billion dollar nation-wide conspiracy.
Finally, now you're not cooperating with your insurance company and you refuse to provide them with the information needed for your claim? Really? You're "not giving them any other personal info"? Now you're just being silly.
OF COURSE THEY'RE NOT GOING TO PAY YOU.
Why should they? Honestly, you're either trying to pull something or you're the victim of some perfect storm of events that were predestined to prevent payment of insurance claims. Either way, seems you're out of luck, pal.
There are two types of insurance claims. Legitimate ones and bogus ones and I think we all know which we're looking at here...
Legitimate claims are easy. You pay for coverage, something bad happens, the insurance company researches and does everything they can to stall and weasel out of payment, then they pay once no more stones are left unturned. They don't make money by making payouts so of course they'll fight and look for any possible loophole.
However, the good thing is, if the claim is legit and you answer their questions, give them what they need, and go through their tiresome bullshit processes, you do eventually get paid. I'm not saying I like these scumbag insurance companies, but seriously, do you really expect them to just cut a check to anyone who says their stuff was damaged or stolen with no questions asked? Even I can't and don't expect them to go that far.
Stop your claim now before you get yourself into legal trouble, though by the looks of things, I doubt it would be your first time...

So insurance companies will usually do everything in their power to underpay a claim, true. In fact that is why I only insure things that I KNOW I do not have the money to replace; otherwise I "self insure".
But in this case, why not go ahead and give the information? I mean, it costs you nothing, and should result in you getting a settlement.
Please scan and post an image of the police report, so we can see what is going on.
It's funny, I once has somebody torch my car in the middle of the night (cops said it may have been a stupid gang initiation thing). I filed my claim, and the adjuster said, "hmmm, that is pretty suspicious, isn't it?" "Yup, it sure is!" I replied. They thought I was "selling the car to the insurance company," I don't blame them one bit. Still got paid!
And as far as "Chuckles" goes - why do you guys harass him so much? He is obviously quite impaired, and can't "get a job". I like abusing idiots as much as the next guy, but people with actual mental problems should get a pass.

First of all - since I am a State Farm customer, this post caught my eye. I've been with them for nearly 30 years and haven't had any issues with any claims. Thank God none have been too major though. However, know that people making FALSE claims affects EVERYONE's premiums. So I have zero patience for any worthless person who does this. I'm not speculating in whether anyone is lying right now - but just know that false claims affect everyoen in the long run.
I'm actually curious (and amused) by the above "back and forth conversations" - my question is for the rebuttal commentators...How can you tell when someone is making multiple reports on this site? I've seen this accusation a few times in other posts and was curious how to find out if someone is a "serial poster". I know it's a little off the subject - but I though I would add this question on while posting my opinion that I put in the first paragraph. Thanks for any insight!

You can tell when someone is a serial poster if you hang around long enough. Charles is particularly easy to identify because of his unique illiteracy. He likes to change his username, but you can tell by the random insertion of capital letters and periods.
Rita is a another serial poster who uses different usernames. She is a former MD who lost her license 20 years ago because she's as loony as they come. She refused to comply with the state medical board's request for a psych eval, and they yanked her license. Now she posts about once a month about the crimes committed against her by the medical profession.
Karl is another crazy one. He'll post random poems and links, which have given me a virus. He's paranoid and thinks the government is out to get us.
There are a few others but they're not as easy for me to identify. There are a few regulars here on ROR who are better at that than I am :-)
