The Grant University A $1.98 introductory offer becomes a $69.95 recurring charge Mesquite Nevada

DO NOT ORDER THIS INTRODUCTORY CD.

I ordered this introductory offer from thegrantuniversity for $1.98. I had forgotten about it until I noticed a pending charge on my CC for $69.95. I called the number given and it just said try your call again later and that happened every time I called that number.

I then emailed the company. They responded with your membership has already been canceled without no mention of stopping the $69.95 charge. They gave me another number in the email - I called it - got a call center that said there was nothing they could do to reverse the charge - I'd have to email the company again. I emailed the company again with no response.

This is a total rip-off as there is no mention, that I can see, about the $69.95 charge. You think you are only getting the introductory CD for $1.98. Now, when I click on the email link I see where they've changed the charge for the CD - now, it's $2.29.

What they do is give you http://www.thegrantuniversity.com with a username and password that takes you to some online seminar. Still there is no mention of the recurring $69.95 charge. You have no idea what they are setting you up for.

When I ordered the CD, I never got an email confirmation - I, thankfully had printed the receipt. Otherwise, I wouldn't have had any record or the web address that you are referred to after you order the CD or any record of the transaction.

This company is very underhanded and they need to be stopped. They are ripping off innocent people.

I have contacted my CC company to dispute the charge and will get my money back. But, this company shouldn't have gotten it to begin with.
