USAA ALSO TOTALLY RIPPED ME OFF, AND TICKED ME OFF.  I ALSO HAD TO DECLARE BANKRUPTCY (NO, IT DOES NOT MATTER WHY, AND IT'S NONE OF YOUR BUSINESS).  THE MINUTE I DECLARED, THEY SHUT DOWN MY ACCESS TO ALL MY ONLINE ACCOUNTS.  AS FAR AS BANKING ACCOUNTS GOES, THAT'S FINE!  THEY WOULD NOT EVEN LET ME HAVE ACCESS TO THE LIFE, AUTO, AND HOMEOWNER'S INSURANCE ACCOUNTS, "FOR SECURITY REASONS".  WHAT AM I GOING TO DO ON THEIR LIFE, AUTO, OR HOMEOWNER'S WEBSITES WHILE I AM ACCESSING MY ACCOUNTS THAT I WAS PAYING FOR? COMMIT A VIOLENT ACT OR SOMETHING?  HOW CAN ME LOOKING UP MY AUTO INSURANCE ACCOUNT BE A SECURITY THREAT?

I JUST CALLED THEM TODAY AND CANCELLED ALL MY ACCOUNTS WITH THEM.  THIS IS NO WAY TO TREAT A TRUSTED MEMBER.  REMINDER, I CAN SEE THE COMMON SENSE OF NOT LETTING ME ACCESS MY BANKING ACCOUNTS ONLINE, BUT NOT ALLOWING ME TO VIEW OR PAY MY BILLS ONLINE FOR THE INSURANCE ACCOUNTS IS TOTALLY ASININE.  THEY JUST LOST THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS FROM A LONG, LONG TIME CUSTOMER.

IT'S NO WONDER THAT THE PAST FEW MONTHS I HEAR NUMEROUS RADIO ADS TRYING TO GET TOTAL SUCKERS TO JOIN THEM AND THROW AWAY MONEY AT THEIR RIPOFF COMPANY.  THEY ARE GOING UNDER QUICKLY BECAUSE OF UNSATISFIED CUSTOMERS LIKE MYSELF.  KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, USAA.  I LONG FOR THE DAY, WHICH WILL BE SOON, THAT YOUR IDIOT COMPANY GOES UNDER BECAUSE OF POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!

Your bankruptcy is now a legal court case...

AUTHOR: Taylaynn - (USA)

We have been using USAA for 18 years and have never had a problem other then their home insurance rates and auto rates can be astronomical compared to other insurance companies.  On the other hand, their banking services are excellent.  Their credit card service security is fantastic.  We've had several fraudulent charges and problems with retailers over the years and USAA has always taken care of us and protected our consumer interests.  This bank is the number one rated bank in the country and for good reason.  USAA does not mess around with people with bad credit or bad banking habits.  They quickly get rid of them or deny them service in the first place.

Your bankruptcy may not be any of our business but it is the business of your banking institutions by law especially if you are renegging on a loan with them.  It is a legal case between you and USAA. As far as your experience goes, once you filed for bankruptcy the courts began to look into your banking records.  Since you will probably lose a home or a car those insurance policies will become the business of the companies who granted those loans to you.  USAA will lock down  your accounts for legal reasons.  By filing bankruptcy you have told the world that you do not intend to or can not pay for your past financial obligations.  What you paid for in the past does not mean you own those insurance policies any further.

With bankruptcy you have reneged on all financial obligations and thus you will no longer be trusted by financial institutions or other credit agencies.  It's part of the deal so suck it up and get on with life.  You can now go bless other insurance companies with your business.  USAA really doesn't need it.  Check their stats.  They have not lowered their standards to match the current economy.
