Advanta Bank Corp. enormous increase in rate Salt Lake City Utah

For those of us who are card holders with Advanta, we are not only paying for the big corporate bail outs already in place through the government, we are also paying for Advanta's bail out as they are doing it on their own terms by increasing their rates to such a level that we are being squeezed even more. It is truly an outrage how this company can get away with such unbelievable tactics. After calling them the 1st time, one of her responses was that they can increase the rates AS THEY SEE FIT!! Imagine if we were to do this to our clients.... They claim I was send a notice to obt out. Never received it. One of their standard responses of reviewing your account every 90 days, is also just something to appease the callers. They don't budge and their is no reasoning with them. At times like this with the ecomomy in the tank and so many people hurting, how in their right minds, can they even think about increasing rates? They are just asking for their card holders to default and get nothing, rather than to negotiate and get something. I don't have the luxury to transfer the balance to another account since I am one of the thousands who are unemployed. I have never felt so cornered in my entire life. There has to be more people out there in the same situation. Lets get them to court!
