I had a business card taken out with adavanta bank corp, I paid all my payments on time without delay and never went over the limit, they changed my rate from 9.99 to a whopping 32 percent in april of 2008 then when I contacted them inquiring they closed the account so that I could not request reviews to try and lower the interest. I did fall behind in july of 2008 for 2 months, due to such a high interest rate, now chase cards just sent me a notice saying they are raising my interest rate an additional 5 percent on each purchases and cash advances and I have never never ever been over the limit or late. there really has to be something illegal about this.
