Bank of Albuquerque Bank reshuffles debits to put account into overdraft so they charge excessive fees Albuquerque, New Mexico

Several of us started noticing and have proof that this bank is deliberately reshuffling the order - sometimes over 5 days - in order to throw your account into an overdraft just to add $32.75 fee per item!!! They also delay credits in the same way.

I brought this to the attention of the manager of my branch by showing her print screens of my on line statements. One item was originally posted on 12/1 was removed, a deposit delayed, which put my account in an overrun. The charge was added back in with an overdraft fee on 12/8.

When a friend demanded an explanation after the same thing happening to her, they showed that during 2009 they changed their terms and conditions, which now vaguely read that they can essentially charge whatever they want. These were not given to us.

In addition, the bank had a major glitch in their computer system this summer and the Asst. Manager explained that they have a new system. This coincides with when we started noticing these fraudalent charges and reshuffling of our items. This means they deliberately programmed their accounts to delays deposits and reshuffle items in order to charge the excessive overdraft fees.

This must stop!!! Due to this, every one I know that has an acct. with them is closing and going to credit union.
