Bank of America is known for charging excessive overdraft fees that are not valid. This is how the bank makes their money. After getting tired of being slammed with hundreds and sometimes thousands of overdraft charges, we closed our account. But...we forgot to cancel one thing that we had scheduled to be paid by online banking in the coming month. So, one month after our was closed, Bank of America sent that payment that was scheduled and charged us $35 overdraft fee. Then charged us additional charges because the account was closed. Then, when I tried to dispute it, they turned us over to a collection agency and the latest phone call I got (which is every 3 days) was for $559. You would think that since the account was closed, they would not make a payment to someone. But look at the money they are trying to make off a $286 payment.

CURRENT BANK OF AMERICA CUSTOMER

AUTHOR: GRESHAM OREGON - GRESHAM (U.S.A.)

1. We still bank at Bank Of America, but we know it has problems.

2. In 1994, we had a teller steal $500.00 out of our checking account. She was a teller that we got stuck with for transactions frequently. She was a opportunist, and notice that we were taking out large sums of money for a contractors fees for work done on our home.

3. We also had a teller, try to put a "cute" one, by questioning my United States Government Passport that I always used for I.D. at the bank. She wanted to see something else, I showed her my our of state drivers license, she then tried to tell me that I had to get an Oregon license. When I told her I did not! She got snotty with me, and tried to tell me she also worked for the police department.

4. I went home, and called her boss, Mr. Dave Deveny, my good friends and neighbor....SHE WAS IMMEDIATELY TRANSFERED TO ANOTHER BOFA....

5. And when I encountered her at the "new location" she ran like a scared rabbit.

6. Did you know that Clark Howard is telling people to close their BOFA accounts, because they falsely had a good customer arrested?

GOOD LUCK!!!
