I have had bank accounts with several different banks in my life, but Bank of America takes the cake. I have had an uneventful relationship with them until this May. I am absolutely livid with Bank of America. They cleared an unauthorized transaction in the amount of $541.36.

I discovered the problem on a Friday and contacted them and customer service told me that there was nothing I could do until it was posted as paid. I only $28.00 in the bank and they cleared the transaction, so I am now -711.00 in the bank due to this transaction.

I have disputed this transaction with Bank of America and they have credited my account and reversed the crediting of my account. Stating that they have cancelled the investigation with no explanation. They cancelled the card and reissued me a new one, but what good does it do.

I am stuck owing them this money WHICH I DID NOT AUTHORIZE. I have no local branch to go into because I opened the account online and am stuck with customer service.

I have done business with this merchant in the past. I always had to show ID with my checkcard and sign my authorization. I have filed a complaint with the BBB about this merchant and I received the response from them today.

They are absolutely useless, the merchant lied in thier response and stated that their customer service has tried to call us. I have received no call from them, and it has not been resolved to my satisfaction and I am going to tell them so.

If there are any suggestions please let me know. I am frustrated, spending sleepless nights worrying about paying this overdrafted account off and not lose it. Being reported to Chexsytems when I didn't do anything wrong.

I am completely at a loss as to what to do next.
