Bank Of America Wont close accounts to charge more fees Internet

Ok, so about 4 months ago I decided to close all my accounts with Bank of America for different reasons, including very rude customer service personel, plus I could not believe that they would lie to customers. WRONG!  I went one morning and with no problem I talked to one of the bank managers and I closed all the accounts.  He told me I needed to withdraw all my money and that would be it. That it was already done. 

Few months passed and I received a letter from Bank of America stating that I owe them $187.00 dollars on my checking account and around $5.00 on my savings account.  I thought, How could that be posible??  Well very easy.  They never closed the account and left it active for all that time while they were charging maintanace fees on both accounts witch acording to the manager, he closed.  I visited the bank, and guess what? The bastard did not closed the account.  After spending almost 2 hours of argument I finally dicided to call my brother (Lawyer) and sudenly everything was resolved. 

Now here is the catch.  When you close an account they dont give you any documentation that the account is closed, and they wont give it to you even if you asked for, I tried!  So there is no way that you can prove that you closed the account.  How convinient!! 

Be aware, I started doing some research and I have found a lot of persons with the same problem, actually the day I wen to the bank there was a person with the same problem.  Then my mother in law had the same problem with them.  God knows how many people they rip off with this dirty tactic.  Is there any goverment agency that regulates banks??  How can we defend ourselves against these corporations??  They have all of our money and if they chose to, they will keep it!!  There is actually a disclosure on the contract that says that they can close your account at any time for any reason.

Be aware of this BANK OF AMERICA SCAM!!!  Dont give them a single penny!!  They  should be the ones being prosecuted and brought to justice!!
