On April 2007, I received a promotional offer from Chase/Mastercard offering a "NO INTEREST" balance transfer until August 2007 or if qualified August 2008. As I have excellent credit, I called to inquire about having a balance of approximately $4000.00 transferred from another card with 9.99% interest. At that time, I told the Chase representative if for some reason I was not approved for the 2008 date, DO NOT TRANSFER the balance to Chase. After about one week I called to inquire if the transfer and date had been approved.
I was informed Chase did transfer the $4000.00 but the NO INTEREST date was for August 2007. I immediately talke to a Chase supervisor to inform them of this error. The supervisor told me that if I was not satisfied, I could contact the original creditcard and have the amount transfered back(with all transfercharges applied). I demanded a review of this mistake. The supervisor told me that Chase would do a review since all conversations are recorded and to give her at least 10 days to complete. After 4 -5 days, a Chase representative called and stated that Chase WOULD HONOR the August 2008 date and appologized for any misunderstanding.

My husband has been paying all of the bills and usually pays more than required on creditcards (apprently without checking the statements for changes). I have discovered that Chase did not honored the August 2008 date but has been charging my account 19.99% interest. I immediately contacted Chase and was told by a supervisor that when the original transfer was made I "HAD NO CHOICE IN THE INTEREST RATE OR LEGENTH OF THE NO INTEREST PERIOD" and nothing could be done. Again I was told I could transfer the remaining balance to another creditcard of my choice.
Now this makes me wonder -

HOW MANY OTHER CHASE CARDHOLDERS (MASTERCARD - VISA - - - -) HAVE BEEN CHEATED LIKE THIS.

I do not feel that I have been treated fairly by Chase Bank.
