This bank charges $6.00 to cash their own customer's checks.  Rip off to the MAX!

This is why I do not do business with any of the Chase Banks, Chase owned or Chase affiliated. Worst customer service ever !

They do not charge account holders..

AUTHOR: Mia - scottsdale (U.S.A.)

In your report you said Chase charges their own customers to cash checks.  That is not accurate and maybe you had someone new on the teller line.  If you do not have a checking or savings account with Chase, and you come in to cash a check drawn against a Chase account, you, the non-account holder gets charged $6.00.  I know it's high but that is the way it is.  All the large banks do the same thing.

If you have a loan or credit card account with Chase, you are considered a lending client and not a depository client and for whatever the reason is, those type of accounts do not qualify for free services.  However, with a credit card or loan, you do qualify for a free account at Chase.  Then you would never have to worry about check cashing fees again.

Years ago, Banks realized that the non-account holders were not making them any money but utilizing teller resources and clogging the lines.  By charging the fee they keep the non clients out of the lines, which makes banking better for those who keep their money at Chase, and for those who do cash their checks at Chase; they are provided a service and the cost for that service is $6.00.

I don't like fees either.  That is just the way of the world.
