Citizens Automobile Finance Cit Auto Out of work, found someone to assume my loan and they don't care! Providence, Rhode Island

We have an RV loan with Citizens Automobile Finance and have been paying on time for over 4 years. Suddenly due to the economy we were laid off and unable to pay. They call everyday and ask us to beg borrow or steal anything we can just to make their payment. We have borrowed over $14,000. from family and friends just to stay afloat and they don't care. They just say, "where else can you get the money?" . We listed the Rv for sale and finally someone showed interest in it but only if they could assume our loan. We called Citizens and they said, "No Way. We are trying to get out of the RV loan business. We would rather take it back and either short sale it for you or auction it at a greatly reduced price and come after you for the difference!" That makes no sense at all. Here we had someone who would pay them the total loan amount but they would rather take the loss and come after us for the rest. What has happened to banks? Do they get such a big tax break screwing the little guy that it looks more appealing than doing what is right? How do these bank execs sleep at night? I hope Obama does something soon to punish these kinds of despicable acts.

We are probably going to have to file bankruptcy because of this. I hope some lawyer out there sees this and goes after them in some kind of class action suit! There has to be more people out there like us. When they called the last time I asked the man on the phone if he knew anyone who wanted to buy it and he laughed and said, "lady if I knew that I would sell one of the ones I am sitting here looking at in our parking lot. We have a bunch of them."  What a bunch of idiots.
