I have banked with compass bank for about a 1yr 1/2 ..i live check to check so every cent i make i need ...i have over the year had nsf charges that couldnt be explained. When doing direct deposit, you are told that your money is available. but when you use your card they charge u nsf saying that the check was held or wasnt posted until later that day.
I have actually checked my acct online and saw debits that i had made early that day on my acct but a day later receive "NSF" charges. reason given being well it showed on my online acct but it hadnt actually been deducted from my available balance. WHAT the hell is that. How can u post an item to my account as if it has been debited and then tell me "it hadnt actually been deducted from the available balance."
I actually called Customer Service, becuz it just didnt add up why i had all these nsf charges when money was there..and i am told that it doesnt matter when the debit was swipped. they held my debits and wait days to actually deduct them from the balance.
I actually spoke with management at the Compass Bank location and they pretended that they couldnt figure out what happen or why but refused to offer any assistance with my situation.
I feel betrayed and like i am being robbed. How can u expect me to pay for charges if the bank themselves can offer "NO EXPLANATION" Someone needs to "FILE CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT" I WANT to take this bank on. This cant be legal. People like me, college student, i need my money. i work hard and i deserve Respect & Honesty!
