So we sent all of our personal info including ss number, date of birth, all banking info, IRS statements and someone in the loan modification dept stole it and me never got a modification. The Ceo office gave these complaint to an investigator who did nothing to help us and never returned our calss. So we decided to pay the loan off...what a night mare. We called on 11/13 and talked to Melody who said our pay off was locked in till 11/17 and we would receive the pay off documets in one day. So now it is 4 days later and nothing came in the mail. I called Chase today and after a 20 minute hold Kat came on the line and said she would lock in the payoff for today and fax us the payoff Wednesday. I told her this is incorrect because she should be locking the payoff in for 11/18 so we can pay off the correct amount instead of more fees. (Our pay off had gone up since the 11/13 qoute because we never received the payoff letter) Wednesday's pay off would be a higher amount so if we used the payoff from today we would not be payiing off the house and would still owe a blanace which I am sure she knew already. So I demanded a payoff for Wednesday and she claims to have locked it in. I asked about recording fees and how long it will take to get the deed and she said 30 to 90 days. I have no faith that we will ever receive a deed from this horrible company. Instead of taking stimulus money they should work to make customer service excellent instead of this discusting experience. I have been on the phone since 11/13 just to pay off our house and now have to wait 24 more hours to get a fax. In the mean time did some employee steal our identity??? Why did the CEO investigator do nothing to help us? Our loan was through Washington Mutual and then Chase bought that bank. We had a lot of problems with Washington Mutual like not getting credit for our escrow payments and would have to keep track of every penny we gave them because moeny always disappeared from our account. But why would a bank put a customer through all of this to get a payoff. You would think they would want the money to help their profit line.  We will never deal with them again afte we hopefully get our deed. I would not recommend this bank to anyone.

AUTHOR: Karl - highlands ranch (U.S.A.)

Then 'Google' this- BANK EXECUTIVES PROFITING ON THE DEATH OF EMPLOYEES, and read that article too. There are $45 BILLION in 'secret life insurance policies' between just the 3 banks named in that article, right?
