I have been a merchant for some 6 months with Atlas Banka in Montenegro. Head of Card Services as she is described is supposed to be responsible for arranging Merchant processing accounts for credit cards within the card services division. For some reason, the bank seems to be truly incompetent at reconciling transaction, does not settle and pay on time and this is really hurting my business. When I signed a contract with them, I was assured that funds would reach my account 14 days after the first day of processing; guess what, this is not the case and after contacting the Exec Director, nothing has changed. We get funded sometimes 3 weeks after we should have and we have to go through pain to get this.
If you are a serious merchant out there looking to establish your online credit card processing with a reliable bank, my advice would be to steer well away from this Bank. It does not have the experience or gravitas to work with high volume merchants despite what they say. It seems it is a former broken country trying to launch itself and re-invent itself and in doing so uses is "friends" to assist in setting things up. It appears the Exec Director uses friends and family to establish professional relationships with lawyers and other bodies. Seems like she is how can i say has her fingers in many pies.
We processed a lot of business and for some reason they have not paid, they di not respond to email and are holding several hundred thousand dollars and are ruining my business. DO NOT let this happen as it is crazy.
