NO RIP OFF HERE

AUTHOR: Kathie - Phoenix (USA)

You ripped them off when you spent their "one dollar and some change".  If you choose to spend the banks money, you choose to pay their overdraft fee.  A bank is not obligated to let you use their money, free of charge.  If you can't play by the banks rules, use cash.

You did not rip off this bank...

AUTHOR: Ronny g - North hollywood (USA)

I guess Kathie must work for this bank..or have some vested interest..otherwise why would she call you a THIEF when the bank was covering a transaction that did not have the funds..and charging YOU for it?

Bear in mind..the bank covered the dollar and change Kathie claims you stole from the bank by automatically enrolling you in a SERVICE the bank usually calls "courtesy overdraft protection service"..and this implies by the bank..that any overdraft is considered "pre-authorized"..so I guess if any crime was truly committed...the bank is most obviously an accessory to it.

I wonder how much it cost the bank to cover the dollar in change...that THEY chose to cover (did you ask them to???????)..and then it ends up costing you $238.00.

So Kathie claims...no rip off here...

Okay..lets look up the term "rip-off" and post the definition as it applies here..and let everyone decide who ripped off who...fair enough?

Dictionary:

rip-off   (rip'ôf', -of'n. Slang

  1. A product or service that is overpriced or of poor quality.
  2. An act of exploitation.
Seems to me this complaint meets all the qualifications of a ripoff as defined.
