North American Savings Bank Took money, never signed the contract, promised refund, never done! Leawood Kansas

We contacted his Bank via the internet for a Veterans Refinance loan. Everything sounded good over the phone and we were ready to go ahead with the loan paperwood. The agent wanted the appraisal fee paid up front via credit card so he could schedule an appointment. When i rcvd the fax there was another service and expense in there not previouly disclosed and we decided not to go ahead with the loan and did not sign any of the papers. The agent was notified and said he would refund my credit card as soon as he got off the phone with me.

I was naive enough(thinking this is a bank not a mortgage "broker" and on the 23rd, nearly 3 weeks later discovered this was not done. When i called back he said there was lots of "red tape"??? and it may take a while. My husband was not happy with that answer so i called back to find out why it could not be refunded and told him i've worked for both fortune 500 co's and in retail and we never had "red tape" just to refund a deal that "never happened"? he hung up on me.....Curious if this is the same agent that hung up on the other girl here that complained. Seems this bank is not a good one to deal with and may be better to take your busines elsewhere....JMO Lori
