I have a home mortgage with Partners that I initiated in September of 2010.  Through a series of bureaucratic blunders at the credit union the closing of this loan finished in March, 2011.  I opened a checking account with the bank and quickly closed it as I again experienced the right hand of the credit union did not know what the left hand was doing. I have been paying my mortgage through on line banking via SunTrust for the last year.  Partners is perhaps the only banking institution in the modern world who does not participate in electronic banking.  My bank is forced to write them a check each month and mail it to them. 

In January, 2012 Partners was tardy in sending out their payment mortgage book.  Every bank over my last 30 years of home ownership has informed me 30-45 days in advance of raising or lowering my escrow.  Not only did Partners not inform me, but they sent out the mortgage book for January after they had already received my January payment.  Of course this will leave me with a deficiency and cause a late payment to be charged.  I called their mortgage dept. in an attempt to pay the deficiency and they informed me that they could indeed take payment. 

I was then transferred to their customer service center and after gathering all my information (including my social security number and SunTrust bank account number) they placed me on a 10 minute hold and then came back and said they could not accept any type of payment for the definciency that they failed to inform me about.  They could not take a credit card (unless it was issued by them) or a check (unless it was from their account).  My only option was to bring cash to a branch.  I asked them if gold boullion was an acceptable form of payment and they declined.  They did inform me that I could deliver the cash via Pony Express or pigeon, which would be in keeping with their antiquated, 18th century banking policies.
