Peoples Bank of Richmond, KY PEOPLES BANK STOLE $700 FROM US - THEY "LOST" OUR $700 DEPOSIT! Richmond, Kentucky

We deposited a $700 check into People's Bank of Richmond on December 28, 2009. I got online the next week to check our online banking and balance our account, only to see that the $700 deposit was not there. We usually keep our receipts from deposits, but we were unable to find it. We contacted the bank who said they would look into it. We contacted the person who wrote the check who informed us the check did clear out of their account, and they provided us with a copy of the back of the check. There was the signature, the bank information, branch number, even the teller number, with the date and time deposited. For a month we heard from the bank "they were looking into it". They did find the video where we had been there at that day and time, but said they could find no trace of where the money went once it got to the bank. Finally we got fed up and went to a lawyer who said he had four other cases recently who have had the SAME exact thing happen with the SAME bank! He said they have worked hard to cover their tracks, "lose" video tapes that show the person in the bank at that time. They have been taken to court over this numerous times.

They are disgusting, and if I were you and I had a dime in there, I would take it out now!
