Providian credit card services charges late fees when payments received on due dates *REBUTTAL *EDitor's Comment

I sent my payment to Providian by Bill Pay since the postal service has had problems with anthrax and hold ups in delivering mail. My payment due date is on the thrid of the month.

My payment was received on the 3rd of this month Nov-2001 and wasnt posted till the 4th then I was charged a $38.00 late fee. On the 5th.
I called providian and said that even if their posts took 3 months to process it has to show being received on the 3rd which was on my bill.

FUSA - First USA just lost a class action Global suit for this very thing happening. I refused to let these people charge me a late fee, and now they chnged the due dates and added more fess to my account.

To me I request a class action for Deception and fraud of monies and the OCC and FTC to investiagte.

The payment was received in and on the due date and has to show received on the 3rd not when ever these people feel like processing the payments
