I opened an account with US Bank they said they had free checking..Wow was that a lie and I'm here to tell you my bad experience with them... I wrote a check which came up insufficent funds ..I went into their office to set up a line of credit or overdraft protection.. of course i was denied... 8 weeks later i see they kept charging my account until it was almost $1000 over what my small $40 check was was unbelieveable when i saw the fees they charged me... I went back in to close my account and was told i had to pay off the account in full to close my account.. So i did pay it off ...Only to find out months later they re opened my account and charged another $460 to my account I thought was closed ...I called the bank manager and told her I never reopened the account and she gave me some lame excuse i would have to contact their RECOVERY DEPARTMENT... I told her I felt my account had been compromised and signed papers to close my account ...She ask me if i made a police report..I said no i just wanted my account closed and paid it off.. I told her i was calling the TV News station to Report this ... When i did they said they wouldnt get involved and i needed to contact a lawyer...
Well needless to say i have lost my SS check many times due to their internal thieft
