About 3.5 years ago we leased a car from D&M Auto Leasing and they financed the lease through US Bank. Little did we know that US Bank can't be trusted. Before I elaborate I will say that other than their association with US Bank we did find D&M Auto Leasing easy to work with and would do business with them again as long as US Bank is not involved. 

So here's what happened: A few years ago we signed a 39 month lease on the car. We made every payment in full and on time and at the conclusion of the lease we returned the car to D&M. About a month later we receive an invoice in the mail from US Bank for over $700. A couple minor items on the invoice were legitimate but one fee in particular really pissed me off. It's stated as follows:

Contractual Termination Fee: $395.00

That's right, they were charging us a fee for turning in a leased vehicle at the conclusion of the lease term after making 39 in full and on time payments. We did not terminate the contract, it expired. We leased the car and didn't purchase it for a reason, we didn't want to keep it. And now when we've done our part and fulfilled all or our obligations they want to hit us with another BS fee. 

It seems US Bank is just another company who doesn't care about their customers, can't tell the difference between right and wrong, and isn't interested in building good relationships with customers by treating them fairly. Instead, they're just another unethical bank who's been empowered by the US Government to conduct business unethically and continue to take advantage of Americans. What else should we expect from these two bed partners. Neither the banks or the government can be trusted because they only look out for themselves. It's disgraceful and I'm ashamed to be associated with either. 

I strongly encourage anyone reading this to avoid US Bank and any other bank who's trying to pull one over on you. Most are, so watch your back - you're the only one who will.
