This is not true I do not owe any money at all to either Wachovia or First Union! I closed my First Union acccount years ago, before Wachovia Bank even merged with First Union Bank. I did not owe any money at that time. They said it was for over draft fee's when I called them. I was also shocked when talking to my neighbors that all of the one's I spoke with about this that had ever had an account with First Union Bank recieved the same notice I recieved: A letter stating that they also owed Wachovia Bank money for over draft charges, they also said that is not true! I don't know why this collection agency is trying to get money from me still, it is a rip off that I am worried will or has affected my credit!

It's barred by time at the very least. Tell them "I will not pay" and they can't do anything about it.

except it is not the Bank but a third party scumbag debt collection who is coming after you.  Tell them to tak a hike.  There is nothing they can do - visit www.budhibbs.com for more information.
