I have found a systematic problem with Wachovia's overdraft policies that they do not admit to. I understand that when you use more money than is available with a bank they have the right to charge you a fee, and I am not arguing that fact. I should of been charged the problem is that with Wachovia they charge you twice for the same thing. On 6/21 I had a small purchase come through, but my account was not negative, on 6/22 I bought gas and it caused my account to go negative by -$2.32 now on the same day I got charged when the ammount of the item was taken away from my available balance, and then a second time when it actually posted to my account. So because of one item causing me to overdraft by $2.32 (which is bad enough to get charged because of such a small transaction as it is, but I am not arguing that) my account went negative -$72.32 with 2 overdraft fees of $35.

I am very very familiar with how banks work, and how they make their money and I am not against that. However it is completly unacceptable that a double charge happen. When I call they do not seem to understand and tell me that I was charged correctly, and they refuse to return any of the charges because this is the second time that they have charged me twice for a single item. So they charge you twice, then you call, they refund it once calling it a "courtesy", not bank error, and then when it happens again they say thay cannot refund anymore because a courtesy refund has already occured. I am not going to be working with this bank anymore and I advise anyone else to do the same, especially if you will not be keeping a large balance.

*Make sure to 'Google' this- WACHOVIA COMPLAINTS SECRET LIFE INSURANCE POLICIES, and read where the banks have hired outside agencies to do "death sweeps" to determine if any of their former and current employees died so they can collect the death benefit checks from the insurance company, okay?

Thank You.
