Washington Mutual Bank mishandled 4 mortgage payments that I sent them through certified mail....so I know they received them.

Wamu was unable to process my mortgage check payments because my bank had a lock on ach withdrawals from WAMU due to their mismanagement of other payments.

Wamu didn't bother to send my checks to the bank for payment, they just let them collect until they could file foreclosure against me.

Now even though I sent them proof that I sent them the checks, and that the money for those payments has always been in my account, they charged me almost 1800 dollars in lawyer fees on top of it.

This is the third problem I have had with WAMU. My first mortgage payment to them they sent to another bank....it took me 6 months to fix that problem.

Then in July 2008, they cashed my mortgage check for 1,100 dollars as an 11.00 check. When I spoke to their customer service rep, she said they would fix it within 4-6 weeks, they didn't. They kept sending me nasty debt collection letters despite my own bank sending them a letter stating that they had committed an encoding error. I sent WAMU a copy of the original check through certified mail....they never responded back.

This bank has single handedly damaged my otherwise excellent credit rating.
