Bourbon Street Bar & Grill Damn Place!!! Monroe, New York
*UPDATE by author: The place could hardly be more revolting

This place is just rotten; its atmosphere is the very worst one I have ever encountered. Most people coming to this place are full of malice. I am sure the background of any one of them is utterly despicable. Charlie, one of the bartenders, is a two-faced and, of course, a very evil person. To cut the long story short, this place could hardly be more revolting! May it close down forever and ever in the very near future!

This review was written by a customer who was asked to leave the establishment and not return. We do not allow customers to say lewd comments to other customers. We do not allow customers to be rude to our staff and/or other customers. Everyone is treated with respect and when one does not want to abide by this simple rule of life they can go some where else. They can complain about us all they want but they can do it from there computer at home and not from inside our establishment.
We pride ourselves on providing a fun and friendly atmosphere to all who come. We look forward to serving and pleasing any and all who come to visit us at Bourbon Street Bar & Grill in Monroe, NY.
Thank You!

What the owner of the place and / or the workers are willing to say at this point doesn’t interest me the least. I had never, ever been rude to their staff, nor had I ever said any lewd comment to other customers. I was very respectful with every single person I met there. What is more, I am very respectful with everybody, regardless of his or her background.
Meanwhile, one customer - indeed a very animal-like individual – harassed me for no good reason. The following day I talked to Charlie, one of the bartenders, in an attempt to have some kind of justice done, and he only defended that person. That is just why I currently have such an opinion about Charlie – a two-faced and an evil human being.
No one ever told me to leave the establishment directly, although it is fair to say that that was what they wanted. Needless to say, I left all by myself and I would never step into such a revolting place again. Besides, I only go to places where I am welcome and where the staff really treat me with respect. I am obviously not welcome at Bourbon Street Bar & Grill in Monroe, NY, but I am very welcome at many other bars and / or clubs.
I know for a fact that I am not the only one complaining about Bourbon Street Bar & Grill in Monroe, NY; I have heard quite a few people complaining about it. I once had a conversation with a policeman, who only confirmed that Bourbon Street is a very awful place.

" What is more, I am very respectful with everybody, regardless of his or her background. "
Really? Given your original post, I hardly see how that is possible. It was very disrespetful of the clientele of this establishment, particularly your assumptions of their background. Let me refresh your memory :
". Most people coming to this place are full of malice. I am sure the background of any one of them is utterly despicable. "
Nice try, though. I'm inclined to believe the owner where this report is concerned.

Perhaps you should try to understand my statements a little better. Whenever I meet someone, I am very respectful with that person, regardless of how wonderful or evil such a person might be elsewhere – of course, as long as I am not verbally abused.
Like most anybody else in the world, while I often encounter many people who like me, I sometimes meet with some other people who do not. The moment I realize that someone doesn’t like me, I stay away from that person. By no means does anybody need to be rude with me. I know there are ethical ways of finishing with an individual one does not like, and it doesn’t take me too long to realize that I am such individual in a given case.
Once again, I am talking about a place where someone harassed me for no reason at all. That person had only seen me a few times; I had never had any conversation with him. I kept quiet as if I was ignoring him, but I felt very sad.
The following day I told Charlie, one of the bartenders, what had happened to me, and he wasn’t even sympathetic. He only supported the awful harassment that I had received, and that only showed me what kind of person he really is – indeed a very despicable human being. Charlie’s attitude also made me reach the conclusion that Bourbon Street in Monroe, NY is a very revolting place. Never again did I ever try to step into it and, at this point, I even swear that I never will.
The owner was to be notified of what had happened to me, as I told Charlie and another bartender the whole story. I also gave both of them my cell number in order for them to forward it to him, but I never received any phone call from either him or anybody else at that location.
That being the case, I do not see how the owner can say that they do not allow customers to say lewd comments or to be rude to other customers. He did allow that individual to abuse me verbally, and, what is more, he didn’t even bother to listen to my side. Nor do I believe that everyone is treated with respect at Bourbon Street; if that were true both the owner and Charlie would have done something about that young man who had verbally abused me. Needless to say, they never did anything at all.
In addition, fights occur at Bourbon Street very frequently. My opinion about Charlie and about the people attending that place is not any different from the one I have heard from quite a few young people who live either in Monroe or in nearby areas. A policeman who goes to Bourbon Street to watch games on a daily basis told me that it was the worst bar in the Monroe area. His comments about the people attending that bar were virtually the same as mine. He also advised me to go to the other ones instead, and that is exactly what I do.
Whatever someone chooses to believe is completely subjective. Every person has his or her own criterion. Even if I strive to bring much more details, whoever tries to judge the situation will be like someone judging a book by its cover. Saying “I don’t understand the story” would be much more appropriate that saying “I don’t believe one side or the other one”.
