Lane Productions claims to be a booking agency based in Ohio, but it's a hoax. It's all the scam of one man who calls himself Dave Spiggle. He will charge your band $500 or more as a "booking fee" and he will not book one show for you. He will pocket the money and not return your calls or emails. He will tell you that the venues have turned your band down or some other lie. It's all a scam to take your money.
Dave Spiggle has zero connections with any clubs or venues. Everyone knows he is a criminal who is hard-up for cash and has to take advantage of hard-working musicians in order to (try to) pay his bills. We've been in touch with SIX different bands who have had the same complaints about Dave Spiggle and his fake company, Lane Productions. We've also been in touch with lawyers and collection agencies and have found that this man has outstanding debt in three different states!
Trust us! Lane Productions is a scam. We created this page to save other hard-working musicians from wasting their time and money on this loser.
The best advice we can give you is to record a demo and shop it to clubs and venues yourself. We've seen plenty of bands book great shows and book great tours without the help of a booking agent.
Don't waste your time with crooks like this guy, David Spiggle. Please, look on the Better Business Bureau website and you will see that what we are saying is confirmed. Yes, we are pissed off that we were robbed of our hard-earned money by this guy, but more so than that, we want to prevent him from taking advantage of any more hard-working bands. Don't let it happen to you. Do your research first!
REAL booking agents are companies like Agency Group, Paradigm, etc. and they mostly only deal with signed bands. But don't give up just because you are unsigned! In the new DIY world of indie music, if you put the time and work in and start small you will get there. Just don't give up! And don't get scammed!
