We do their work? You are so wrong it's ridiculas. You want proof? Start your own website and promote it, see how consistant your sales are in comparison to your amazon listings. The two wouldn't even compare. Amazon does so much more than you could imagine. They are a retailer themselves, the fact that we as marketplace sellers can sell on their site is simply a benefit to us. They make their money elsewhere, their own sales on their site, the cloud, they power major retailer websites like Target and many others. Of course they make a little scratch from us as 3p sellers, but you are greatly mistaken if you think that we are a big enough part of their overall project that they "NEED" us, in fact the complete opposite is true. We NEED them, that's how these other sellers were empowered to quite their day jobs.
I could have the best products in the world at the greatest prices, but if I'm trying to sell them in an alley or the moon where there is no traffic, the products are useless to me. Amazon has over 6 million customers that are constantly on their site. When people look for items, they tend to go straight to Amazon or ebay to perform the search because they're established. With your own site you'll have to not only compete with them, but you'll also have to advertise on google and other places where these two venu's already heavily saturate the results as it is.
They don't make money off a cd or interest because they're not a bank and they control the money, they make a lot of money in many different ways.
They don't just "push the paper" they provide the audience that is interested in your merchandise, without that audience your merchandise is useless.
Don't waste your time with these silly suits, you better believe amazon has more lawyers than most companies have employees, they are more than protected. What you should do is find out how to get back on. I can tell you this, it is possible, you have to jump through a lot of hoops like new computer, ISP etc. Here's a hint, business bank acct, ein # & the bank lets you alter things on your acct, remember that amazon verify's bank info, I'll leave it at that and let you figure it out.
