contracted them for move from Vt to Fl, sent deposit of $772. Was given dates of Sept 18 and 19 for move. It is important to note here that we initiated all the calls as to our move status, not the "moving service". We called early in the week and were assured that it was OK, we called on the 18th and were told between 12noon and 4pm on the 19th. Needles to say when the 19th arrived and we started calling we started to get the run around as to truck status.
First it was broken down, then it was in New Hampshire, then it was getting another truck. They don't own trucks, they just sub-contract to any one they can get. After repeated phone calls to their Hollywood ,Fl office and attempts to call New Mexico it became obvious that they had now intention of showing. They had no alternative dates for us even as late as the next Monday morn.
The most telling response we got was from Eli Ashkenazi of the Florida office was and I quote "put it public storage and we will pick it up sometime"???? I was under the impression that they were supposed to move us. We had a date to meet in Florida, they knew this and did nothing. We were accused of being impatient???? We asked for our money back and were laughed at by Eli of the Florida office. Surely Jeff Pearson of the office in New Mexico can not be surprised by this.
They have a Southwest BBB rating of AA and A West Palm Beach Fl BBB rating of "D". If you check the West Palm Beach BBB you will find 60 complaints of this nature and these are only the people who take action with complaints. The actual occurences are probably much worse. So they bid, accept deposits,no show, no action, no refund. Nice work for them, it bites for their "customers"
