The bottom line here is that the "Better Business Bureau" is nothing short of a shakedown. That's right. A blatant extortion scam.

The BBB is obsolete and should be shut down.

They are a FOR PROFIT business that "rate" other "for profit" businesses.

See the problem here? You CANNOT get a "positive" rating from the BBB unless you are a dues paying member! That alone makes it a shakedown or extortion scam.

Furthermore, the BBB has absolutely no legal authority to intervene in a dispute or solve any problem for the consumer, although many people [sheep] think otherwise.

The BBB had it's day BEFORE the world of the internet. Now, anyone can research a company, file a complaint, or post bad business behavior online in just minutes.

So, I ask, what could the BBB possibly offer anyone that cannot be obtained faster and easier online, and best of all FREE!

Avoid the BBB. It is a SCAM.

1.  The BBB tries to DECEIVE the public by calling themselves "the Bureau" as if they are some type of law enforcement operation.

2.  Their "mediation program" is a joke.  The "mediator" is PAID by the BBB.  If you are up against a "member" who has PAID for their "membership" who do you think the BBB EMPLOYED MEDIATOR is going to rule in favor of if he/she wants to keep their job?

3.  The BBB tries to "SNOW" the public by issuing news releases about very obvious scam information to create the impression they are really doing something.

4.  What the BBB is doing, is SELLING memberships and these PHONEY ACCREDITATIONS to ANYONE willing to pay for them.  (Bogus Billy Heard, the Chevrolet dealer who was in trouble EVERYWHERE for FRAUD and DECEPTION was a BBB member!)

The BBB will NEVER rebut any of the statements made against them because they know far too many financially savvy business people know and fully understand the BBB CONGAME.  The BBB doesn't have the guts to address these issues. 

When it comes to FRAUD and DECEPTION in consumer matters, the BBB is a VERY OBVIOUS part of the problem!
