Hi all,
Do not buy any thing from best buy, they only lie about warrranty coverage and do not honor them.
I purchased a 4 year extended plan for a samsung tv and was told by sales rep that if they had to come out to our house to ever fix it and could not they would replace tv.
Well they came out to fix could not and told me I have to wait 7-10 days for a new part, this is if the part work as the tech was guessing and said "maybe this will work" . His next comment was well if this do workmaybe we can try something else of maybe they will give me a new tv! MAYBE MAYBE !
What the h**l did i pay the extra money for the warrant for?
I am pissed at myself for beleiving the dam sales rep, i have never had a problem with them until know.
I have tried to contact district manager but he/she never calls back, thats right I have no idea who this person is because they refuse to give out a name!
I called coporate offcie and was left on hold 15 + minutes then they just tranfered me to customer service line. Oh yeah they are useless as well.

that when the come out to repair your TV, they have to do it instantly, then you have a case for a new TV.
If it doesn't, it likely gives them a chance(s) to repair it and if they can't you'll get your replacement.
What DOES your WRITTEN warranty say, you have read it, right?
FYI, it makes NO difference what the sales rep tells you, the WRITTEN contract is the binding document.
I can hazard a guess why the district manager doesn't return your calls.
I can also tell you why retatillers don't give out full names...it's because morons like yourself may attempt to take your grievances to them personally. I can't take your ROR at face value as YOU failed to provide your full name and posted anonymously.
Once again....READ YOUR WARRANTY TO SEE YOUR RIGHTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES.

There is no, I mean NO extended service plan with a major retailer that has any guarantees for either timely service or the highest QUALITY service. Your servicer may or may NOT be the primary one used by the manufacturer. The plan administrator for Best Buy, NEW, chooses the companies that accept their fees and accepts the standard procedures for doing repairs (and getting paid). If a part can be ordered, it is; if it is trial and error, that's part of it too. If there is either no part available or your TV needs parts that cost more than replacement, then they will replace.
By the way, if you do ever get a replacement, don't be mad when you're told the (depreciated) market value of the credit you will get.
