I have a terrible experience by purchasing from World HomeCenter.com. On July 31, 2010, I ordered three Kohler items from Home Center which charged $488.30 to my credit card prior to shipping/not shipping the merchandise. Expected delivery dates were not specified or unknown. I received the Kohler Shower and Tub Filler on August 9. However, on August 10, I received an email from Home Center requesting an additional $40 for each of the Kohler faucets which they claimed had discontinued. They asked me how I would like to proceed such that they would order the two Kohler faucets at an alternate vendor. I emailed Home Center right away, followed by 2 email on the following day and left 2 voice mail to Stacey Perry of Home Center, specifying my disapproval and requesting them to cancel my order of the Kohler faucets which, according to Home Center, were discontinued.
On August 12, I finally talked to Shelbee Dickens, the service representative, who said that I could not cancel the order even if Home Center did not have them in stock. She promised me that her supervisor, Stacey Perry, would call me back in 40 minutes, which, as expected, never happened. Since then, I have never heard from Home Center. I feel being cheated: on one hand they claimed that the Kohler faucets I ordered are discontinued and requested an additional $40 for each faucet to be ordered from an alternate vendor; while till date, on their Web, this Kohler faucet model is available and sold at $161.91 (the original posted price when I placed the order on July 31, 2010). Other than a deliberate scam, I can't see what service Home Center aims to provide. I called my credit card company and filed a dispute complaint. I then ordered the two Kohler faucets (same model and color) from Amazon.com which charged me $189.10 each and had them delivered to me promptly. Stay away from HomeCenter.com! Don’t be a victim of their fraudulent business practice!!
