I was sent a letter claiming I had won $55,000 in some sort of sweepstakes, included in the letter was a check in the amount of $3,875. As instructed in the letter I called the number and all I ever got was a recording stating the mailbox was full and could take no more recordings. I called the bank to verify the check and was told there were no funds available to cover the check. Please if you receive this letter do not deposit this check in your account, or you will be responsible for covering the funds if you spend the money. Also, do not send them the money for supposed taxes on the winnings, as this is the part where you will be scammed out of your money.
