I took my daughter to salon126 in New Canaan, CT. Salon126 I heard was the newest Salon to open up in New Canaan so we decided to give them a shot.  She needed a good haircut to match the shape of her face.  The previous salon damaged her hair because we were told they over processed it. My daughter has somewhat scraggly hair, so I mentioned to the hairdresser to cut it and give it some shape to match the shape of her face.  I remember being careful to remind the hairdresser not to give her a pixie cut or very short hair.  Then when the cut started I thought that something was not right while cutting my daughter's hair wet.  Most hairdressers that are up to date usually dry and straighten it so as not to cut too much off the length. It seems that some hairdressers forget that when you cut hair wet it shrinks even shorter when it dries. So after an interminable hour she blew it dry and proceeded to cut some more. I kept saying to myself that this is Salon126 and I'm sure they would've staffed it with the properly trained professionals.  I told her that this would be too short for my daughters taste and she wouldn't stop. I told her again in a stern voice to stop cutting for fear that my daughter will look like a boy. She told me that she wasn't done with the cut and if I would have let her finish it, it would have looked nice. I told her that we are not trying out for the football team, but now it looks simply awful.  Looks like we'll be waiting another 1-2 years so it can grow out. Needless to say she cried all the way home.  Blatant disregard.  If you are thinking of Salon126, think twice as the experience was not worth the suffering we've endured as a result.
