TELEBRANDS.DR. Ordered Get A Grip from TV ad and paid by credit card. Am not satisfied with them as I slipped in bathtub, but have been trying for a week to return them but phone number I called 1-800 number says I have to call Corporate Office in New Jersey if i want to send it back and get a refund. Have tried many times, but cannot get through. Calls are long distance charges to me and are building up. PACOIMA California

I answered a TV ad for Get a Grip to be used in bathtub and paid by credit card in U.S. dollars. When they arrived, I found them hard to close and one slipped when I tried to get up from the bath and cracked my elbow. I phoned the 1-800-909-2778 which is the number I called to order and they said that I had to call Corporate Head Office at at 973-227-4034 if I wanted to return them and get a refund. I called many times, but only got a recording. I phoned again the 1-800 number and told them I was unable to get through as they stated I had to get a return number from them. When they heard I was in Canada they gave me another number in Winnipeg, Canada which I called and they told me they are not Telebrands but a company called Supertech. I called again to 1-800 number and told them it was a wrong number and asked for an email for Telebrands. I googled on the web but could not come up with an email address. There is nothing on the web that tells you how to contact them except the address in Pacoima, CA. Web also says you have to return item with a tracking number and if you do not do exactly as they say you will not get a refund. I enquired how much it would cost to send back by UPs and it would cost me $24.95. Their shipping charges were $7.95. I had packed up the Get A Grips and written a letter stating why I was returning it, but have not as yet sent it as I fear I will not get a refund anyway. Please investigate this company. I really am questioning why the sales people are telling people to contact Corporate Head Office and when I asked the guy hung up on me. Please advise.s
