the following is an e-mail I received today.....this lady solicited money for the pre-publishing payment of advertizing my business (The Columns Bed & Breakfast) in a "Treasures of Manitoba" book. She now sends me a notice saying the bad economy of the US has resulted in Morgan and Chase "closing up" and therefore my $1200.00 will not be returned to me, nor will the book be published. I am seeking legal advice regarding a "class action suite".

It appears that Morgan and Chase has decided to shut down due to the first bank crash in the states in September. Where that leaves you and others, I have no idea because I haven't been able to contact anyone. Apparently a letter has been sent out to all people involved with the book but I haven't received mine yet. If I hear more, I will pass along the information. It looks like both of us are out of money that we are likely not going to be able to recoup. I would say have a good day but it would hardly be appropriate.

People have told me that if you paid my credit card, there is a good chance your money is insured so please investigate that.
