Hello, my “subway experience.”

NOTE: This experience occured within my destination.

I am reporting improper conduct and discrimination,
I am reporting a subway restaurant, where “employees” and “manager” are employed; their conduct is improper, vulgar, unprofessional, and prejudice beyond words!

My objective/motive,
Personally, I am reporting/speaking on my be half; I will try to include word which details for the “anonymous” that feel not to speak due to “embarrassment/threats” as that is understandable. When speaking on my be half, this isn't devoted to selfishness nor for disrespectful rejection by a unprofessional subway-restaurant-staff. I am governing action for young people: individuals that “truly” want to work productively; those that contain a positive work ethic and can validate credibility. Unfortunately, I discover those of “ethical” youth are not only rejected, but disrespected by “subway” candidates “workers” and directed by a incompetent manager with common scheme. So therefore, when productive individuals apply for employment…..this is the negative atmosphere “we” and “costumers” have to deal with. Here I remain, I would like to report my experience, and further information- please continue.

I present my factual experience:
July 29, 2008: I went to subway for purchase of sub.
At this current time, several female workers were present.

Conduct and behavior,
Those who were working didn‘t operate badly, however the behavior was inappropriate.
Further detail: Overly humorous with other employees which isn't funny for the costumer.
Personally, that didn't bother me- eventually there was a shift.

Gender discrimination,
Respectfully, I induced because it is obvious, “dominantly ‘women' are employed.”
Unexpectedly, “they as a group” spoke of “why” men are not assigned.
Further detail: The franchise/workers discriminated- referring men as jerks and placing a stereotypical definition on the male gender/population; that is gender discrimination.
I made it known and apologized on behalf of so/so that may have behaved wrongly. I made sure to note, not all men are disrespectful. There are men who want to work- don't let a particular experience define/mar a whole population.

Gender discrimination and disrespecting a male employee,
“Few” workers disrespectfully referred to a “male employee” as feminine “female characteristics.” The employees didn't consider him male-
I guess he was hired due to those particular attributes.
Further detail: The male employee wasn't present, I guess he works a separate shift. The female employees may have been joking, but I didn't take it that way- there is no need to be a hypocrite and disrespect another that isn't present- that is slander.
With that noted, I see this as discrimination against those who contain masculine features and that is gender discrimination.

Employment,
I shifted focus on employment: particularly at that time- applications were unavailable. One of the employees advised the availability of the manager: 10:00am-12:pm.

I would like to note: I thought it would be nice to apply. I thought of positive aspects such as distance, people are returning/going to college/school- “I knew of a former worker at this place ‘before' this situation. She told her plans- and due time for college.” With that conception: I thought workers may be needed, I was available. Also, due to circumstances/deadline….? I could not attend college.
I thought “best” to dedicate my time to employment- I proceeded.

July 30, 2008: I made my presences at 11:06am.
I was advised: the manager is busy- I understood and sat patiently.
Repeatedly, I was told the manager would be right with me.

I want to include,
I didn‘t know the identity of manager until time proceeded.

Every 10mins,
As I remain seated- a female employee would indicate, “she's on the phone- she'll be right with you.” I understood, I made sure I arrived early to avoid traffic “business-busyness.” I thought the whole atmosphere was odd as time went on.

Further detail: I noticed a women near the back “manager,” she was stirring at me. Suddenly, she went out of distance “back room” and “workers” would follow. Repeatedly the workers would travel into the back room, come out, go back, and the cycle was endless. I couldn't understand why the workers didn't remain in the proper placement.
At the time, it wasn't busy until a hour later.

1-hour later of sitting,
At this particular time, it was getting busy. I stood up to buy a sub and went through the process. My plan was to wait further- I guess the manager must be busy- I don't see her anywhere. Please keep in mind, her identity was a mystery until time proceeded.

Sub in process,

I spoke,
“I misunderstood, is the manager present?” You said she was speaking on the phone.
Was she on a cell phone talking with you personally?

The young lady said,
“No, she is here.
I guess she is on the phone- I dunno.”
[The worker spoke in that form of detail]
[The worker seemed not to focus]

Note: As the sub is under construction- I naturally directed attention
to another worker, as I have to move over to purchase the sub after creation.

I politely asked,
“Can I provide my name & phone number- or do you
think she'll be available- is this a good time?”

The worker came off immorally- that includes her entire body language,
she pretended as if I was a annoyance.

She then turned to the manager “behind shoulder” and rudely pronounced,
“can you please talk or see what this DUDE/PERSON wants!?”
[She spoke in that exact form]

Right at that time: I discovered the identity of the manager,
she was far from busy: she spent too much time talking and playing around. The manager acted as if I wasn't there and when I spoke up. She “too” pretended as if no one made any notification. My goal was to retrieve a application and meet the manager.

I said,
“I've sat here for an hour, did they not tell I was here?“

The manager replied,
“I am sorry.” [Her immoral employee spoke for her. Stating, this is a place of business.
As far from my observation, “they” as a group are not adequate for business. I would
never journey nor work for any merchant that performs under this conduct.

Truth and under occurrence,
The manager knew of my precedence: she stood and stirred at me for several minutes “through out the entire hour.” The manager wasn't busy: her main duties were joking/playing around, flirting, stirring, and letting her workers act immorally- they all neglected their true duties and that is to respect and serve costumers as that is the job requirements- they're failures. I know competent people exist: people who can replace them- perform with quality and self respect- productive!

Further detail: “They” as a group wanted me to wait, get mad, and leave. Well, I didn't react totally that way- I went out with dignity and made my voice known.

After my exit,
I later made-call-by-phone: the same employee whom spoke for the manager disconnected me. Yes, I called back- she put on a terrible acting performance trying to place blame-etc. She was continuous: referring to me as a dude “antics.”

I didn't take interest….. I wanted to speak to the manager and I did.

The manager,
I would like to direct past tense: I and others knew this lady as respectful, nicely spoken….and not one to be unkind. However, I can no longer see her as that- hiring disrespectful people no matter what gender is intolerable. Seems to me, they want to live out a repeat phase of their high school life within a subway restaurant.
A manager is suppose to manage and hire productive individuals.

My disappointment exceeds far beyond words,
I write this sheet not only to express for my self, but for others who have to deal with this conduct. I will not visit that subway restaurant and I understand why others avoid due to the pessimist structure. The manager “later” apologize by phone for the second time AFTER I made known, “I will report this to the official forum, and pursue as-far-as possible. Her apology wasn't genuine and I will further report this information. As people know me as a reputable person, I will express my experience.

I wish for a transitional phase where & for ethical/productive individuals are granted the “privilege” to become a manager. Then….. I hope to see the same breed no matter what gender, or race follow that scheme- lets paraphrase that productive cycle.

Note, if anyone has dealt with this, or was “present” at this negative TIME-EVENT??? PLEASE SPEAK! Don't post nor express falsify information. Please include your first name and additional info. If you rather not, please don't speak. This is a factual experience and I want it to remain that way.

I would like to conclude,
I spoke to Subway Central! I am directed to the same person(s).

Just to add, I had to call "them" to hear results of investigation.

If they called prior? If I was unavailable? I apologize.

This is what was said,
Word: This person "referring to me" comes in "time-to-time."

Actuality: Not really, I use to come in to get a refill-of-drink. This was sometime ago- when former workers were employed. Also, I dislike to drink certain beverages. In complete, I recall my past visits. If they say I come in time-to-time, or through recent stages? Please observe camera footage! Last purchase made from this local is noted within this experience/complaint. Note: I have purchased from “other” common franchises- but differ local.

Word: The male was sitting for 20mins.
Actuality: False, I was sitting far longer- I documented this experience right after event. Just to state, the sitting period wasn't a issue, "IF the manager was truly BUSY." As noted within this experience: the manager/workers were fooling around. Cameras remain: if unedited footage exist, make available. Please observe and provide copy to me- personally, I would be glad to observe. Note: Full and unedited footage is the actual event- sound included! Content in edited formation isn't actuality!

Word: The footage was observed.
Information provided by Subway Central: Finally, “I was given word on the investigation.” I made sure to give indication of “rip off report website.” I told the worker, “please direct this ‘informative and vital website' to the main people/office; others are reporting common events.” Continue- The worker pulled up complaint/investigation.

Just to note, I publish/sent complaint via: Short form-official Subway website & complete form-US mail.” Strangely enough, I wish my complaint was constructed in actual format- reason for stating……..Central Subway “read” my complaint over phone, pulling certain parts, and under false pretenses. Revolving around what “they” say concerning “camera footage.“ This wasn't accurate: such as time and actual event. On the phone: The person told me, “This case is closed- I don't care- this is not my problem” [she didn't care about the website]. I am unsure if she forwarded this information. Truly, I believe others reported such experiences thru this line and hit a dead end.

Word: You've called here numerous times. This was investigated.
Actuality: Yes, I did call several times: 1, make a report-speak of complaint/experience- 2, to check for validation- 3, to check into investigation, and to report/speak of the “rip off report website.”

Word: I'll brain storm “Subway Central‘s sheet” of the investigation:

1)This person “referring to me” comes in from time-to-time.

2) He sat for 20mins, went up to desk, spoke.

3) The local authorities report, “this person is known for stirring up controversy.”

Actuality: I found this to be at most interesting..... I keep to my self and dislike to invade anyones privacy. I speak up when abuse, or false accusations occur- my actions are proof! Just to include, I did request information such as, ?what authority figure? Can you provide information on this source- phone number? Answer, “No.” Total dead end!

4) He said he would post first name of manager on the internet.
Actuality: True… but, I changed my mind. I was unsure if the manager provided a true name, “I didn't want to post a false name.” During this event, one worker was joking around-antics. Really, I had no idea if I was talking to antic or manager. In addition, I felt the investigation as a quack, and choose to provide this globally thru the internet! Central Subway put emphasis on, “you shouldn't report this on the internet-etc.” As for the manager, I will not post the managers name.

As for stirring up controversy? If that means: “reporting/exposing poor/wrongful treatment, discrimination/ prejudice, and unethical people……. HELL YES!” With that noted, “I would not lie, nor forward falsify info; I would never damage any ‘positive/ethical/righteous' individual.” As for this authority figure, “I would like s/he to come forward.” Please provide information that is so concealed- any event I report on is……public! This experience isn't a joke and I am reporting the truth.

I would like to detail on my self: Recently, I achieved a drivers license, graduated from high school, and planning for college. Finally, I am “looking” into employment- I have the means such as transportation to pursue employment. Sadly enough, I ran into a bad system of people that are employed!

As for this investigation? Basically, minimum focus on this subway franchisee. The focus/investigation was on me: referring to unofficial indications to support “their“ base of people. While reporting this- I was asked, “why report this, where are you taking this, why call so much, why, why, why?”

I spoke, “I reported my complaint- seems to me…. 'I don't see this taken seriously' and when I call this 1-800 number…..? I am connected to the same 2 people- that's unfortunate.“ I think this was a total lack of assistance. Also, from what I gather, mail concerning “thoughts & complaint” go through that Central- hope my complaint makes it to the official people. I made this known, “I am reporting for me and “mostly” for those who've dealt with this. A positive-productive person is interested in employment: Suddenly, s/he travels into a negative system and have to deal with laughing-stoke-of-people; staff. Anyone with children know of this- this is everywhere!

As for slander, reporting improper conduct isn't slander- I am reporting the facts. I have rights! The unofficial claims on me,? I was slandered! Also, I was directed to discontinue- the investigation was terminated. As for me, I'll continue to report/expose anyone that operates under this form of conduct.

You will never get a response from Subway

You will never get a response from Subway based on the letter that you've posted here. Not only is your letter way to long for any corporate official to bother themselves with reading, but your main point gets lost in the many irrelevant details you've included.

If you expect your letter to be read and a response received, re-write your letter in a clear, succinct (1 page or less) manner.

Peter, thanks for the comment. I tried with clarity. I apology, but I am reporting a actual 2 day event and full month of Subway Central 1800-talk-line which goes no where. Personally, I didn't want to leave out information. However, this & "common compaints" are getting around. I rather not add detail: I made copies of this sheet and many are taking interest. As I wrote, people have children- this disrespectful conduct occurs EVERY WHERE! In jobs, these managers/employees are obvious.

In addition, those who are subjected to this are afraid of the intimidation and that is understandable!! Lets be real, it isn't easy reporting and going public. My experience/name is public- that is embarassing- but that doesn't matter. What matters is, "I/others must/need to report this information." This vital and resource website is a tool and I'll use these grounds. I wrote my experience as is: I did the best I could and I am happy of where it's going.
