Home Depot Rebate system is a scam Ripoff Atlanta Georgia

The Home Depot Rebate program is a scam. Paperwork was filled out properly and turned in on time for two rebates. Each time a letter was sent that the paperwork was wrong and they could not process the rebate.
I called both times with the information again. The second time I asked for them to look at the original paperwork I sent and they refused. Despite numerous complaints I have yet to receive my rebate. Calling Home Depot complaint department did not help either. The customer service department was unresponsive.
When possible I suggest shopping elsewhere or demand Home Depot give you the rebate amount off at time of purchase instead of mailing in the rebate. The people running the rebate center are incompetent and will not send you your rebate even when they say they will.
Home Depot's rebate system is a scam.
Home Depot's motto is "We can help." They did not help me they wasted numerous hours of my time with their rebate scam.

I purchased a washer/dryer and a stove from Home Depot a few months ago. I received $300 in rebate checks 6 weeks after my date of purchase, as well as a $60 disount on my electric bill due to the energy saver products I purchased. (more paperwork I filled out with the rebates)
I filled out everything correctly, with proof of purchase for each item, and mailed it to the appropriate place. No problems at all.
You can even track your rebates online, so that if there is a problem, as in your case, you can catch it, and track the progress.
