Wow. I call to have them give me a quote and for having them come out I would receive a $100 gift Walmart Card. Before I could get the card my wife and I had to give both of our SS# they told me it was to varify that I owned my home (that was a lie it was to run my credit without my permission).

After the 2 1/2 hour presintation and having me write on a peice of paper "show me how I can save money" I finally got my quote for 12 windows with no grids the starting price was $17,000 then $12,000 for signing right now. I then told him no. He then got "his manager" on the phone and after having the manager talk to me on the phone for 10 more minutes they then took off $2,000, so now we are at $10,000.

I then said no so then they brought in there "eco line" and then tell me that these windows are not eleigable for the Government tax credit and that only the alaskan would qualify (lie again) they then told me i could have the alaskin for $6,771 still $575 per window.

This was very high pressure and when I told him I was not going to buy today he was mad told me that I would have to pay the $17,000 for the windows if I didn't buy them today.  He then would leave his number with me and then left.

A few days later I recieved a letter from Windows USA asking me to contact them for an even better price than the lowest one that I was given.  It went into the trash.

Not completely accurate

AUTHOR: dan lasyone - houston (United States of America)

I wanted to make a comment about the 'lies' in the complaint. Windows USA did ask for the  social security number, and on the card that the homeowner filled out, it plainly stated that a credit check would be done, however, we no longer ask for that, but when we did it was never was a lie.

Now, about the comment that the econoline window does not meet the energy star tax credit, that is not a lie. There is certain minimum energy ratings that must be met in order to get the tax credit and the econoline does not meet it. So that is not a lie, that was the truth, it does not qualify.

If you want one of the best windows on the planet coupled with by far the best company to do business with, then let Windows USA put in their premium windows in your home. It will be the last time you or the next home owner will have to worry about windows. There Lifetime Warranty is the most inclusive in the industry. You call and they take care of it, IF there is ever a problem to begin with. They continued to grow when the economy was suffering. They take care of their customers and their employees.

So please, if you get a card in the mail from Windows USA, call them because they are running a great promotion in your area. By the way, 70% of Windows USA's business is from referrals.

Thanks, D Lasyone

No it was not!

AUTHOR: Jeff - Crestwood (USA)

The employee stated that on the bottom of the page was a statement that said that it was for a credit check.  No it is not, you are wrong!  You may have a different form than the one that was used in KY.  To settle this, I invite you post a PDF of the form to show everyone what it looks like and what it "claims" to have on it.
