I ordered a custom fit pwc cover from I boats on on May 28. I received it promptly. It does fit but the straps to hold the cover in place were not included in the package. I had other complaints such as the quality of the material, the durability and the weatherproofness and the waterproofness. In short this was the lightest cover I have ever seen. It did not even shed sunlight. The sun was readily visible thru this material so it was difficult to see how it could keep out water or weather for that matter from my initial test of holding it up to the sunlight.
I discussed this with stephanie online at Iboats.com, customer service. She was pleasant enough but she denied that it was a custom fit cover, therefore it was not supposed to come with these straps. (these straps are available from a reputable competitor(Overtons.com for $39.99 plus shipping or approximately 45.00) I requested a credit on my purchase to help defray the cost of buying the hold down straps. It was completely ignored as were all my furture attempts to contact this company.
I now now the cover is completely worthless. It is not waterproof. It is not sunproof. It is not weather proof. It will cost me another 45.00 to get a worthless cover ready to transport my pwc.If the material were as good as the construcrtion this would be a good cover. It is expensive at $140.00 but the material it is made from is so flimsy that I doubt it will last this summer. Iboats said it has a 3 year guarantee on material and workmanship. This is not true because they have denied any warranty at all and have ignored my further inquiries.
it is possible to find this cover at mass merchandizers for $19.99 plus tax. I spent over $100.00 at I boats and have no recourse because they only exist on the web.
fool me once shame on me, shame me twice shame on you iboats!
I have no complaint with the 3rd party contractor who shipped the cover immediately..

We appreciate customers like "Jolly Roger" taking the time to outline understandable frustration. It is feedback like his that allows us to improve.
As boaters ourselves, we know how disheartening it can be to spend time working on an issue that takes us away from what we love to do- boating!
We take seriously our responsibility to offer high quality products, competitive pricing, and remarkable customer service. The experience "Jolly Roger" had is unfortunate on many levels: 1- if we mistakenly advertise a product as being something it is not, we have the responsibility to rectify the situation- while an attempt was made to offer a viable solution, we were unable to meet the customer's expectation; 2- while we make every effort to rectify the situation (regardless of who's fault it is), we can only offer the help when the customer is willing to receive the help. We replied to the customer within 24 hours, made every effort to understand the situation, offered information about the cover, and then offered to have the cover returned. Unfortunately, the customer opted to not work with us on a solution that we happily offered.
We sincerely regret "Jolly Roger's" experience- not only because of the frustration he felt, but because in these difficult economic times, boating should be fun and provide an escape from the daily stresses we all face. This was not "Jolly Roger's" experience and regardless of what efforts were made to rectify the situation, a fellow boater had an experience that put a poor taste in his mouth that may have skewed his view on the boating experience as a whole.

Sounds to me like iboats called back once, and gave their short offer of resolve, and never tried to make the buyer happy. Then they ignored his calls back to negotiate. I have experienced this poor iboats customer service first hand.
