beware of anything from RVANDBOATRENTALS.COM . The owner Sean is a con man. He rented us his 26 ft Lavey Craft and when he gave it to us it was extremely low on oil. When I asked him why he said that all high perfomance engines burn oil. NOT TRUE! He said that the people that rented it before us overheated it and melted all the hoses. He said that it was from towing another boat. This boat should be able to handle towing without a problem. He told us the price of the exhaust boot in particular. Guess what? That same rubber boot melted on us and we weren't towing! And this is after we made sure to add 3 quarts of oil a day at $6 a quart! We were 10 miles down river when this happened with 2 grandmas and 4 young children. Fortunately I am knowledgeable about engines and boats and was able to patch the problem to get home. Otherwise it would have been a very expensive tow and a long day. Needless to say that I'm upset about him putting my family in danger.
$810 is what he wants to keep of my deposit. $140 for parts, $250 for labor that I said I would do (half hour of work), and $420 for rock dings that I'm sure were already there but he said were from us driving down the highway!
He will find a way to keep your deposit.
