Wave Runner Rental Rip-off! Golden Rentals

I had recently set up to rent a couple of waverunners at this
establishment. I was told that they needed a credit card to hold the water crafts, and nothing more. I had them reserved for the
following week but do to unforseen circumstances I had to call the next day to cancel the reservation. It was then that they told me that I was going to be charged the FULL rental price of $474.00 and that there was nothing I could do about it. This company never disclosed to me that there would be any charges for cancellation nor did I authorize them to charge on my card. I am currently contesting the charge with my credit card company but am outraged that companies can do this sort of thing without open disclosure.

This company had a weeks notice of my cancellation but had already charged my card at the time of the reservation agreement. I have learned to be more careful, so just watch out!
