I responded to an advertisement on Boat Trader.com where I found a boat I wanted to buy. The seller (Robby Fraizer) said that he owned a restaurant and needed to sell the boat to release capital to enhance his business. He insisted that he wouldn't sell the boat to me without getting it surveyed and suggested putting the $19,500US into "Google Checkout" where the money would be held until the survey results were received. I wired money from my bank account when I received a Google Checkout invoice.

Subsequently, all contact with the vendor has ceased and there are no responses to my phone calls and emails are returned with "address disabled" messages.

I now believe that the "google checkout" invoice was a scam.

When I became worried I checked and discovered that the advertising material he was using was copied from a boat dealer in Melbourne, Australia.
